USNS TRUCKEE was the fifth NEOSHO - class fleet oiler. The ship transfered to the Military Sealift Command on January 30, 1980. Decommissioned in 1991, the TRUCKEE was stricken from the Navy list on July 18, 1994, and is now berthed at the James River Reserve Fleet, Fort Eustis, Va., awaiting final disposal.

| September 22, 1986 | off Virginia | USS YELLOWSTONE (AD 41) collides with the USNS TRUCKEE during underway replenishment. The TRUCKEE has minor superstructur damage, while the YELLOWSTONE sustains a two-foot gash in the hull on the portside. There are no personnel casualties or injuries reported. |
