USS HECTOR was the third ship in the VULCAN - class of Repair Ships. Decommissioned in 1987, the HECTOR was leased to Pakistan in 1989, but was returned to the US Navy the same year. The HECTOR was subsequently laid up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet at Suisun Bay, Calif.
