USS Horne (CG 30)

USS HORNE was the fifth ship in the BELKNAP - class of guided missile cruisers. Both decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list on February 4, 1994, the HORNE spent the following years laid up at Suisun Bay, Benecia, California, as part of the Reserve Fleet. On July 14, 2008, the HORNE was sunk as a target off Kauai, Hawaii, using three AGM-84 Harpoon missiles fired from aircraft from CVW-5 embarked aboard the USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63). The SINKEX was part of RIMPAC 2008.

The USS HORNE was last homeported in San Diego, Calif.
