USS HALSEY is the 47th ship in the ARLEIGH BURKE - class of Aegis guided missile destroyers and the second ship in the Navy named after Fleet Admiral William Frederick Halsey.

The photos below were taken by me and show the HALSEY departing Naval Base San Diego, Calif., on March 10, 2008. The HALSEY got underway for operations with the PELELIU (LHA 5) amphibious strike group.
