USS SENTRY is the third AVENGER class Mine Countermeasures Ship. SENTRY is designated a reserve ship, and is only at full crew-member capacity when Selected Reservists are on board.

USS SENTRY is the 1998 COMNAVSURFLANT Battle Efficiency Award winner for her class and was awarded the 1998 COMNAVSURFLANT Safety Award.
