The first ship to bear the name of the city in Wisconsin, the USS MARINETTE was one of the NATICK - class large harbor tugs. Stricken from the Navy list on May 25, 2005, the tug is currently berthed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga., awaiting final disposal.
